340ELR & SFK315EX+ USB Daughterboard Recall Notice

A potential issue has been identified that may lead to battery failure on the 340ELR & 315EX+ batteries. This relates to the USB-C connection on the battery when used in conjunction with certain USB-C hubs. If you are using the 340ELR in a series setup (24,36v, or 48v), do not use the USB-C connection, instead use the RS-485/USB-A cables. If your battery did not come with these, please contact Sun Fun Kits Support by emailing: cs@sunfunkits.com and a free set will be mailed to you. The batteries can operate without restriction in series when used with the RS-485/USB-A cables. Customers using the battery in parallel (12v) setups are able to use usb-c connections without concern.

Sun Fun Kits will be sending out replacement USB daughter boards that include a more robust isolator to address the usb-c connection issue and these will be mailed out in the next 2-3 weeks. Instructions (including a video) detailing the process will be made available in the next 2-3 weeks as well.
