With Venus OS getting more features with every release; the Cerbo GX is starting to show its age, especially with the optional version of the Venus OS, the Large Install. This version includes Node Red and the Signal K services, these can greatly improve the systems functionality, however, the added features can begin taxing the available resources on the standard Cerbo Gx device. Victron has the significantly faster Ekrano GX device, but it also has a hefty price increase over the standard Cerbo GX, and some people don't want the display to be married to the I/O ports in the back. It sure would be nice to have something with the power of the Ekrano, but have a separate display, and also be cheaper; well their is: Raspberry PI running Venus OS along side a dedicated wireless display!
In the video below we explore how can can use this affordable and power alternative to running Venus OS for your Victron system and give you what we consider the best option if you are wanting to run Venus OS large and are using SFK batteries with Victron Integration.
