The first bespoke lithium conversion kit specifically designed for the HiSun Sector E1 UTV on the market is available now! The Sun Fun Kits E1 conversion is fast, easy to install, and looks OEM and it can be installed in as little as 2 hours. The kit includes everything you need to get up and running including custom battery mounting trays, cables, equalizer and four of the 315EX batteries. The Hisun E1’s onboard Delta-Q charger can easily be programmed for lithium operation via an update with a USB drive so you will native lithium charging capability from the get go.
The kit includes 4x SFK315EX batteries, the SFK battery equalizer, 2/0 gauge series connecting cables, and 2 custom made battery mounting plates. After the conversion you will be 360 lbs lighter than stock and will have 60% more usable range than stock, a real world 60-75 miles of range.
Using the SFK battery equalizer, you won’t have to worry about imbalanced batteries as the equalizer will ensure all batteries stay in unison. If you ever decide to sell your Ranger, you can use the 315EX batteries in a normal 12v based setup such as in an RV, boat, or back up power.
The batteries support heating (both during charging as well as standby heating which can keep them warm even when not charging so you will not have regen issues when operating in below freezing conditions), bluetooth communication, and have a user friendly app that will show you vehicle speed, state of charge (fuel gauge), vehicle power and battery temperature. The SFK315EX also support battery life extending features such as setting a power reserve cut-off (e.g. you can set the batteries to stop discharging when only 10% is left) or you can send a maximum charge level (such as setting it to 90% max charge) this means you can leave you batteries plugged in and not worry about degradation at high or low states of charge levels.
In terms of performance, you will have access to 18 kW (24 horsepower) peak for up to 50 seconds and will easily reach the top speed of your vehicle (limited to 25 mph as per federal regulations). You can drive up to 60 miles at full speed off a single charge (on paved terrain), with mixed speed driving you can expect between 60 - 75 miles.
